It's official, South Sudan is an independent nation! Use this thread to discuss their independence and what you think will happen in the next few years regarding South Sudan.

Personally, I think they need to work out a way to split up oil with Sudan and use the wealth they gain from that oil to develop roads and schools.

Things weren't peaceful in Abyei and South Kordofan. Some people also want to include Darfur.
