The thing to end all heath care problems

O.K, I hear alot of people complaining about health care in america and they want it to stop. So the way to end it is to put a tax for Medical needs, and end Medicare or whatever. It's the most simpliest solution to our problem. Here are some benifits from this solution: 1) People with small income can benifit from it. Think about it, some people come to this country JUST so their kids can get a good education, and a good life. My dad started from an apartment with 4 people and now he has a good job and a big house to live in. So think about those people that are starting small. How can they afford to get meals every day and transportation when they have bills for going to the doctor with no insurance? If they have a tax, maybe they won't have to pay so much. 2) Other countries are doing it too. I told my dad this idea and he said that Canada and countries in Europe have somthing similar to this. Do you hear them complaining about heath care? They're doing completly fine. It's not like they are going to sue us. 3) We'll have a better economy. All the time on the news they have news on how bad the economy is. Maybe, it will change it. More people will have money and they can use it for something good, like college. And maybe, just maybe, people could be just a little happier and not complain about thier health and how much it will cost to get healthy. I know, more taxes, but would you rather pay a bunch of money for sugery or pay a tax every single month. Whew, that was alot. Comments?

Yeah, I just wish some one from the govenment could read this, but if someone did, that would be epic

Yeah, a lot of democrats want a plan something like this, but republicans will never let it go through. IIRC Vermont(?) has enacted some form of socialized health care though.

This won't reduce costs, this just shifts the burden on someone else. Hopefully the rich. :)

I wish this would happen, but we have a Republican House and a Democratic Senate where Republicans like filibustering.

Yeah.

Pardon me for my lack of historical knowledge, but how come USA is one of the only major countries to lack health care for everybody?

The rich can usually take everything, but since they don't want anything changed (hence, their money being taken away), they are going to oppose it.

Nixon wanted healthcare, but Ted Kennedy in the Senate opposed it because he wanted it to pass under a Democratic presidentI think.

Re: The thing to end all health care problems

But some people got to think about people other than themselves. People want to get better, but they have to pay so much money that they can't afford

Speaking of taxes, maybe we're not spending enough on education

At least the substance of what he's trying to say is the right idea.

He's pulling for a socialist economy.

I'm not saying I'm for or against it one way or another, but its an idea that's been around for centuries.

In fact, Sweden has one of the highest adjusted HDIs in the world with a highly socialised medical system along with their economy.

In a perfect world, socialism would solve all of our problems.

In the practical world, there is no such thing as a perfect economy.

Slightly relevant!

12:52 AM - Ninji: "IIRC Vermont(?) has enacted some form of socialized health care though."
12:52 AM - Ninji: I read that as
12:52 AM - Ninji: Voldemort has enacted socialized healthcare
12:52 AM - Ambassador Xzealia Exdementia: heh
12:52 AM - Sgt. Drake Alexander: curse those democrats!
12:52 AM - Ambassador Xzealia Exdementia: You said his name Ninji
12:52 AM - Ninji: He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Elected

Has anyone thought about why we are taxing the rich more than the poor? Apparantly, all men are not created equal. They earned their money, like it or not, and they should be able to choose how to spend it. The rich should not be forced through taxes to pay to the poor. I'm not supporting being greedy, but you should have the right to be.

And go Google "healthcare problems" and you will probably find it isn't as wonderful as it seems.
