All of these stages are banned from competive play. If you ever want to enter an SSBM Tournament, please remember that all of these stages are banned and cannot be played on. Oh and items are banned too as we all know, but no one plays with items anyway.

You see, there are official Nintendo tournaments held for SSBM. However, some stages are banned from these tournements, usually for reasons like scroller, too small, too large, etc.

Of course they do. SSBM is an incredibly popular game, and it has very good multiplayer play. This makes it perfect for a tournament. They also hold tournaments for Mario Kart and Pokémon games as well. ;)
