Kim Jong Il is dead.

Guess North Korea will implement compulsory worship of Kim Jong Un now, if it hasn't already.

Per Scarecrow. Of course, that's been true of almost every tyrant or dictator in history, so yeah.

The only non-abusive dictator I can recall reading about was Lucius Quintus Cincinnatus of early Rome, who voluntarily gave up his power after the crisis was over.

Wow, he's actually dead? Never thought the day would come (well not recently at least).

In a way, it was a good thing he has passed on. His plans for the future were not exactly those that we (as the world) desired. Hopefully, his son (who will likely be taking his place) will not follow the same pathway in terms of decisions.

Also happy birthday Lario! Have a great day. ;)

I love the Onion, especially when people take it seriously. ;)

Wow, it's a pretty bad year for becoming a tyrannical dictator, huh?

What's going to happen now? :(

Who knows? Is his son going to reform or be even crazier than Kim Jong Il?
