I agree with the guy who made the "Simpsons Are Still Funny" videos. The Simpsons aren't suddenly unfunny. There's no magical cutoff point like "Simpsons were fine until Season [blah]." The world around them has changed and people (think they) have grown out of the Simpsons.

Then again, humor is subjective, and it's pointless to try to go around forcing people to think something is funny. It just annoys me that (at least by my observation) half the people that think the Simpsons aren't funny are basically going off public opinions rather than their own judgement. (Of course, there are many who find the "current" Simpsons unfunny by their own judgement, and that's okay too.)

Also, I used to wave around the "they're running out of ideas" speech but frankly, I think it's bogus. There's no SUCH THING as running out of ideas. Mankind has been around for thousands of years. There's thousands of years worth of stuff for the Simpsons to make fun of, and to be honest, they haven't touched upon EVERYTHING from the past few decades. Just a lot of it.
 
My real problem with the show is that the season started in September and we only have like 5 episodes.

The Simpsons is one of the better shows on TV. It's funnier than ever. I agree with Mason, whoever thinks that it isn't funny has no sense of humor.
 
You can never watch The Simpsons too much, unless it makes you neglect things.



Alright, I'm going to watch the new episode tonight. I hope nothing interrupts or makes me forget again.
 
There are three things that can happen tonight.

C. power outage
B. I get transported to a land of flying sea horses where I learn the meaning of life but in turn miss the episode.
C. The episode sucks.

And yes, I agree. Why do people always have to suddenly complain about shows all of a sudden like The Simpsons and South Park? They haven't gone bad, you just probably outgrew it or your opinion has changed. They should at least be happy the series is still going unlike many other great shows that ALWAYS get canceled.

I recognized at least half of those couch gags that were shown again.

Nonetheless, it wasn't too great an episode, but I'm not really disappointed, either.
