Dealing with Spam

With these new fangled boards we're using now, spambots, as they once were, are a thing of the past. However, that doesn't mean that spam won't slip through every once and again. In such a case, it would be best to ignore it. A mod will see it and delete it. If you really must do something, try the following:

1. Click 'Report' in the post window and mark it as spam.
2. PM a mod.
3. Catch a mod in chat.

However, under no circumstance should you:

1. Post in a spam topic.
2. Repost any spam ANYWHERE.

Doing either of the above will result in you sharing the same fate as the spammer.

IF A SPAMMER MAKES A TOPIC/POST, JUST REPORT IT TO A MOD VIA THE 'REPORT TO MODERATOR' LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF EACH POST.

AND DO NOTHING ELSE.

Don't post or reply to the damn thing. It creates more work for the mods and floods our in boxes with deletion requests and replies.

I believe it's been stated a number of times that replying in an obvious troll/spam topic could result in you sharing the punishment. If this keeps up, we might have to enforce this.
