Also, I don't see this ever happening. Mainly because Mortal Kombat would lose what makes it, well... Mortal Kombat. I don't think Capcom would be okay with Ryu having his spine ripped out.

True, but it was lighter and softer than the rest of the Mortal Kombat series (It was given a T rating). The guy who ripped out spines as a fatality instead did a graceful swan dive on the enemy in that game.
