Not unless I find that singer or book series genuinely, deeply offensive, like (respectively) Chris Brown or Ayn Rand's books.

But even then it's not like I would ruin a friendship over it. It's a matter of taste.

Actually, I'd stop being someone's friend if I learned they enjoyed and agreed with Ayn Rand's books.
