Do the mods have the ability to see our passwords to our accounts

I may not be a mod, but it seems pretty obvious to me that they wouldn't.

Nope. We can't. But I'd highly suggest using a different password for every website you go to (or at least have 3 or 4 passwords.)
 
Nobody can, not even Porple.
However, they can reset your Password to whatever you want, but it's something you can do yourself too.
