I guess these options are those who had been in mainstream/imortant games but no appearance in other games anymore.

DKJr had been deleted for backstory reasons. Geno belongs to RPG genre like Paper characters, they're not ensure to have more appearances.

He doesn't neccesarily need to be an main antagonist, just appear in a spin-off once in a while. (Like Birdo) or be a minor antagonist.
