So, this is a thread to discuss your Pokémons' nicknames.

I have a bunch that I really don't remember but here are the ones I do know:

Charizard named Char-Char
Arcanine named Arkana (name when I got him, too lazy to change it)
Various Eevees named after various characters I like

And I mostly name my Pokémon human names. :P
 
Patton the Blastoise was by far the best name I've ever come up with.

Yeah most of mine are just random names but others are from characters in gaming history or names I made for my little fiction story.
 
I used to name my Pokémon. My new ones don't have names, except for my Torterra, who I've had since day 1. His name is BruteRoot. Yep, named him after that Venusaur in the first Pokemon movie.
 
I used to nickname my Pokemon, considering that most trainers nicknamed their Pokemon in the Pokemon Stadium titles; the nicknames also affected their coloring. However, as of the 4th generation and so forth, I've stopped nicknaming my Pokemon.
 
I only gave nicknames to my pokémons for the first two generations because it changed their color on Stadium games, but then I have never give any nicknames.
 
I actually named my starter Angie for no reason (I changed it later, I didn't realize it was a boy. :P)
 
I used to give my Pokemon the oddest and silliest names for the first 4 Gens and White, but for White 2, I've started naming them people from Youtubers real names (I've gone through, like, 7+ names from Stephenvlog, including Stephen, Mallory, Kepler, Sagan, Alex, Rocko, etc.)
 
Started nicknaming with HeartGold.

this is the only one i can remember before i stopped giving nicknames and renamed everyone back to their species way back when like 5 years ago
 
Not sure if this counts, but my Main character is always called Nit. Sort of a personal dare with myself.

I have a Ariados and a Camerupt, named Barry and Remond, respectively.

Pokemon Sapphire and Emerald
A Sceptile named Lizzard, a Delcatty...who doesn't have a nickname, a Mightyena named Christian (formerly named "Bitch"), a Swellow named Sammy, an Azumaril named Mario, and a Linoone named Fluffy.

Pokemon Diamond:
My Empoleon is called Piply, and his best friend, a Pachirisu, is called Stump. Then there's Terminator the Floatzel and his wife Sally 07 the Luxray. No idea. My Staraptor is called Shiin, and a Drifloon named Drifter


I'll get Platinum, HeartGold and White's teams too.

When I was younger, I named a Geodude, Rock, for some reason.

I also named my Pikachu Sparky in Pokemon Channel if that counts.
 
I restarted Emerald for Nostalgia the other day, and I've made it to the Pokemon league. All my Pokemon are as follows.

Terrence - Vileplume - Sort of named after Terrence Stamp
Hush - Sharpedo - Named after the Batman villain

Remus - Kecleon - Named after Remus Lupin from Harry Potter
Psy - Kadabra - OPPAN GANGNAM STYLE
Sleepy - Vigoroth - No real origin
Glomp - Slugma - No real origin
Carlton - Nincada - Named after Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel Air
Dante - Golbat - named after that Movie/book
Winston - Castform - Kinda a running theme in my games

Isis - Lairon - Named after an Ayreon song which was named after an ancient Egyptian god

Pikachu: Ohnoyoudnt (i didn't have enough room for "Ohnoyoudont", so I killed the "o" in "don't")

"Venus - Venusaur"
-The name stems from going to a place called 'Venus Baths' when I was younger. It was a rocky water bush walk area.
"Chief - Charizard"
-Watching SSoHPKC's Halo 4 Walkthrough, Named after Master Chief.
"Gray - Blastoise"
-Watching Fairy Tail English Subbed, Named after Gray Fullbuster.
"Soare - Snorlax"
-My Mom had a Cold sore at the time, and it was the first thing I thought of. I misspelled it so it wasn't completely boring.

Bug Monotype:
"Renee - Butterfree"
-Watching GassyMexican's Ace of Spades Gameplay, Renee is his Girlfriend
"Grump - Beedrill"
-Watching Game Grumps, Named after the Show.
"Row - Butterfree"
-Watching GassyMexican's Ace of Spades Gameplay, Rowtendo was playing with them, shortened it.
"Timelord - Spinarak"
-Forced to change Time settings to Night to catch him, named him after that.
"Twin - Beautifly"
-Named because I would need two Wurmples, Twins.
"Sub - Dustox"
-He was the second attempt, the 'Sub'stitue for the failure.
"December - Nincada"
-It was the end of the world, named him December because 21st would've looked weird.
"Reaper - Kricketune"
-Reading the Word 'Reaper' online, also he has Scythe-like hands/arms.
"Argon - Dustox"
-Watching SuperJeenius' & ArgonMatrix's Super Mario Galaxy 2 Race. Named after ArgonMatrix
"Jeenius - Beautifly"
-Watching SuperJeenius' & ArgonMatrix's Super Mario Galaxy 2 Race. Named after SuperJeenius
"Hax - Venipede"
-I had to Hack to obtain a Bug-Type early in Pokemon Black/White.

Dark Monotype
"Pauline - Poochyena"
-Watching Game Grumps Nintendo Land, named after the Girl in DK's Crash Course near the end.
"Jeff - Larvitar"
-Saw the named Jeff on the news, wanted to give a silly name for a great Pokemon.
