I like the first 3 but never saw the fourth. Apparently it wasn't that great either so I wonder if this will be any good, but guess we'll see.

Soounds good. I hope it actually has the original characters in it though unlike the last one.

i don't think will or elizabeth will return, but i hope that pintel, ragetti, cotton, cotton's parrot, all those guys return

Did we really need another one?

I wonder if the people making this realize that, by producing sequel after pointless sequel, they slowly turn what was once widely loved into a franchise zombie nobody cares about.

No, because Star Wars is still well-liked, even if the prequels aren't. And people care about the new Star Wars movies, even if they're not sure it's a good idea.

Well, if anything, Star Wars is worse than PotC, because it's sprawled into a ton of spin-offs whereas PotC is just a movie series.

And it's pretty impressive how they're able to come up with a story for a simple amusement park ride, sprawled across 4, and now 5 films.

I'm playing Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow now to get me in the mood for the movie.

This is my favourite movie series, hopefully this one is as good as the others.

But it's like, 2 years away, so it's not really too important right now.

The second and third ones I fell asleep during them because I was tired

Pretty lackluster. Sub-par graphics, awkward controls, and the only means of saving is by writing down a password and re-entering it. It was fun when I was little, but not as fun now.

Oh right well you should see if you can get Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow on either PS2 or PC. It is really good and really funny.

Epic bump, Dead Men Tell No Tales is due for production in 2014, and is set to be released in 2016.
 
it sucks that we have to waited until 2016

at least that gives me plenty of time to buy and watch the 4th movie though
