Atari files for bankruptcy

It's only the American division (the former GT Interactive), which is declaring bankrupticy in an attempt to break off from the French parent company (the former Infogrames), which is bleeding money.

Note that neither have anything to do with either chunks of the original Atari, both of which died quite a long time ago
 
Oh, so Atari did die a long time ago. Oh well, we'll always remember their bizarre cartridge burial.
