That first thread was locked by my request. I admit I fucked up and allowed my excitement about beating it cloud my better judgement. Thread rules: 1. No bragging 2. No bringing up stuff from locked threads 3. No crazy assumptions.

see this is after i sent this pm to him

note: not a crazy assumption

not bragging

it was a pm, not a locked thread

The Impossible Pack can bring back a lot of bad memories from the Kaizo Mario hacks. The only thing that wasn't implemented were those invisible blocks that just kill your jumps.

Is this actually true? I was considering getting it, but with this information in hand I might not even get it.

Well, with White Raccoon Mario, the Impossible Pack is much more possible to beat, but even that form can't protect Mario from the poison water that's in the third level.

Never got past the first level of this.

I was mainly concerned about the level design. Does it just have obstacles placed at random to make it a huge mess of stuff, or does it actually have some sort of coherent level design in it? Or are there just fifty billion spikes everywhere, with only one way out of the mess requiring pixel-perfect manoeuvring throughout all levels in the level pack?

It's level Desgin, you can tell.

Watch a YouTube video of the impossible pack. It is not like kaizo. They made it really hard without a single spike, and without flooding the screen with enemies. Really, the first stage has the most enemies, after that environment is what will get you. Plus there was no wall jumping in kaizo, and there's no save states in this. But level design is beautiful and brilliant.

What a shame, I liked the other thread.
However, shouldn't the General Discussion have, y'know, some information on the topic?

You know...there is this thing on the internet called google....

I just saw a YouTube video of the Impossible pack. It looks really tricky, particularly wall-kicking while avoiding firebars up the tower in course two.
