Mario series: Really only one rep should be added, and out of your choices, Bowser Jr. Scrap Waluigi. (Honestly though, Toad's a better choice)

DK: Perfect. That's what I would have had.

Yoshi: Add Baby Mario and Baby Luigi!

Wario: That's fine.

Zelda: Take out Vaati and Impa and put in Young Link. I suppose Impa wouldn't be too bad either, but she'd be too close to Sheik.

Kirby: Perfect.

Pokemon: I really don't know much.

Fox: No Crystal. I don't think Star Fox needs it.

F-Zero: That's fine

Fire Emblem: Even though I'm a fire emblem fan, I think only three are needed. Take Chrom over Lyn

Earthbound: Claus isn't needed.

Metroid: Perfect

Classics: No Duck Hunt Dog and everything else is good.

Others: Those work, but I don't really see Saki happening for some reason. Isaac, maybe.

Kid Icarus: Perfect

Third Party: WAY to many third parties right there. Some choices I'd like though, but 3 would be reasonable, so take Pac Man or Mega Man along with Snake and Sonic.

Duck Hunt Dog is dumb, Layton couldn't fight, Pac-Man almost never appears on a Nintendo system, Sora mainly appeared on PS2, and the rest are overpowered

Don't use that Ridley arguement. It isn't good. They downscaled Bowser. And Olimar is an INCH tall. I think Ridley can be scaled down.

Palutena, doesn't exactly have destructive powers or anything, but if you've played Uprising, there is so much potential for her.

Which is why I model-swapped them over the Ice Climbers in one of my hacks. And they pretty much fit the hack too, if one does not count the ice stuff.
 
only way mewtwo would be viable if they completely change him.

Mewtwo in melee played nothing like he should have, mewtwo is a fast hard hitting pokemon.

Not some dude that has the weakest damage percentages, light as crap, slow and floaty as crap.

Also deoxys? REALLY?

im not sure how that'd work out since deoxys has like 4 different forms(even though speed form is pretty much usless but whatever). Plus its ugly so meh.

Ridley is cool, but i like him as a boss, I'd much rather have dark samus or Rundas.

Ghirahim is pretty ugly so no.

Also ditch lyn and put in characters that dont use swords as main weapons, such as Hector or Oswin.

why in the world you listed duck hunt dog is hilarious and i guess if they wanted a joke character like some fighting games do then yay, otherwise dumb.

mario also has enough characters so meh.

I don't think six Zelda reps are needed. I'd prefer not to have another Link clone and I can't think of another good rep, so I guess I would take out Impa and Vaati and keep GHirahim. If five Zelda reps are really needed, then keep one of the other two.

Replace the ice climbers with the baby mario bros., most of the classic and 3rd party characters are junk, and there are already a ton of mario reps-guess which newcomer I don't want. It shouldn't be hard.

Ice climbers have hammers. Baby Bros. have a massive chain chomp.

Ice climbers can throw weak ice. Baby Bros. have tears that can kill an entire alien race.

Ice climbers don't look cool. Baby Bros. would look awesome in SSB design.

I think we have a winner.

The only reason those tears can kill an alien race is because of their biology. That weak ice can at least deal damage to fighters, and is their only choice to snipe, as otherwise they'd be a melee only fighter(s?). Even with tears, Baby Bros still are melee only fighters.
Also, think about it. Does freaking Pikachu look cool? Does freaking Squirtle look cool? Does Kirby or King Dedede look cool?
If the answer to either of the above is no, then you see that looking cool doesnt make a fighter.

1. Possibly, but I wouldn't call it a "clone". Many Special B moves are similar. For example, Pikachu's skull bash to Luigi's Green Missile. Samus's charge beam to Lucario's Aura Sphere. There would probably be a few differences, but ultimately, it would be similar to using Yoshi's Egg Roll, Squirtle's Withdraw, and, as you said it, Wario's Bike.

I didn't ask if he was cool. I asked if they(the ones I listed) look cool. Is and look, they're different. My point has been revalidated.
