so Team Meat wants Meat Boy to be in Smash Bros and are willing to develop for Nintendo if they get their wish

I'm sorry, I'm laughing too hard right now.

I'd certainly prefer Meat Boy over the popular Pac-Man suggestion, plus the music Meat Boy could bring to the table miiight be enough for me to support his addition.

First character that gets knocked out of the stage with 10% damage.
Anyway, apart from the fact that Meat Boy was never released on a Nintendo console (which could be fixed, apparently), I see no problem with a fast and agile but low damage character with music as awesome as Meat Boy's

I don't really have anything against him as a character, or at least more so than the other characters people want to add, but it's just how they phrase it, how they just expect Nintendo to put in this random character for no reason.

I don't have personal comments against him. However, while Nintendo won't give them too many seats, I guess there are other big companies who want to put their popular characters in Smas bros too. It depends on who win it.

IIRC, Snake was only in Smash because Kojima personally asked Sakurai to put him in, and Sega was asked personally if they could allow Sonic in the game, so I guess companies aren't really fighting to put their characters in Smash, it's just a matter of asking Nintendo if they can.

Uh, it sounds like that the staff can add as many characters as they want, but spinoff rosters never make it happen.

If Nintendo think their own characters are better than 3rd party ones, they can save their time for other ideal candidates. I think having 3rd characters in is only what Nintendo chose to do.

too hilarious to take seriously

especially considering that the game itself is pretty much a joke

“Nintendo are you listening? Smash Bros! We would ask for nothing in return. Just fucking use the character. Put him in the game. It’s free!”

oh shit, nintendo better listen to them or else they won't develop for them

the horror

I think it'd be cool. *shrug*

Plus, Nintendo's policy on third-party characters seems to be either a.) it has to be completely unanimous (in Sonic's case) or b.) it has to be personally requested by the character's creator/owner (in Snake's case). Although, they DID say the character has to have been on a Nintendo console at least once...
