What are your opinions on Game & Wario?

chillv

9-Volt must be my video game counterpart.
(Note that this is only from gameplay i've seen on youtube. I have not played the game yet)

Since there is no more stuff I/we can speculate about since it has already been released in Japan, We might as well discuss on how we feel about this game from what we've seen.

Give your opinions on Game & Wario. You can talk about as much as you want to. Just don't write any brief, vague descriptions. Also, NO FLAMING! IF I EVEN SEE A LIT CANDLE OR CAMPFIRE, I WILL DELETE THIS THREAD IMMEDIATELY. (Figure of speech)

Okay, here are my opinions on Game & Wario.
(Note that this is only from gameplay i've seen on youtube. I have not played the game yet)

I will give a opinion on each feature in this game, but first let me give my opinions on this game as a whole.

I always liked the minigames in wario ware and I always wished they made at least one wario ware game with just minigames. Apparently, my wish came true. Nintendo did just that. I also like how the minigames are more simple than nintendo land's. Some Nintendo Land's minigames were way too long for me that I could only play each of them in small doses (1-3 levels at a time) before it gets repetitive. I also like how you can actually use your prizes in this game because it actually incourages players to play the games often to use the prizes even if they are linear and sometimes just stupid. There also seems to be a lot of them. All of Nintendo Land's prizes are just for show and it gets more and more ridiculous as you win more of them that you wonder why some of them are even in the game as prizes. For example, there is a switch you can't step on, and a door you can open but can't walk through. I also like that some of the minigames are reminiscent to the genres the characters' had in the wario ware games. Here are all of the examples. Jimmy T.'s microgames all had something to do with sports so his minigame is a sport also, "Ski". This may not have occurred to you, but Kat & Ana's microgames all have to do with nature. Their minigame "Patchwork" has nothing to do with nature. However, the solutions to their puzzles may sometimes end up to be a plant of animal
(For example, some of the solutions are a sheep, horse, palm tree and a flower
9-Volt's microgames all had to do with video games, so his minigame has something to do with gaming, "Gamer". This may not have occured to you either, but Dr. Crygor's microgames had something to do with "reality" (3D renderings). His minigame is reminiscent to his microgames due to how the graphics are 3D renderings of real objects. Dribble & Spitz's microgames had something to do with Sci-Fi and since the minigame has UFO's in it, it is reminiscent to his microgames. Ashley's microgames had something to do with food, her minigame takes place in a world made of food so it is reminiscent to her microgames.

Arrow
This one looks like it will be fun. I like that this is just a simple, arrow shooting game and not an "action-packed" shooting game like takamaru's ninja catsle from nintendo land. It's good to see nintendo switch things up a bit by changing the pace of their games.

Shutter
I like photography and it's a good thing to see a game that simulates something I like. This game seems like it will be a little too easy. However, if the levels feature some very awkward content and/or situations, I will say that I "really" like this game.

Ski
This game looks fun but I don't think it will be something I will play very often due to it being nothing much but a time trial game.

Patchwork
I have to admit, I hate puzzle games. They boggle my mind and in the end make me very fustrated. This one on the other hand looks different. It's concept is very simple and doesn't look like it can become a complete mess in later levels. It also seems that you don't really need the TV to play it which makes things even better.

Kung Fu
This game looks like a very addictive and engaging platformer. It also shows a good example of the ways the wii u game pad can revolutionize gaming. The art style is also nice too, it reminds me of Okami.

Gamer
This minigame already looks like it will be my favorite because I actually have done the same thing in real life (I played wario ware touched on my dsi and did pretend I was asleep when my parents walked in my room). I also like the atmosphere they gave this game. It gives this feeling as if your being watched frequently and that your doing something very forbidden. It also give the atmosphere you might see in a scary movie. I also like that they add some humor to this game as well. For example, his mom may come out from his TV and may even go into his room via the TV.

Design
I know this makes me sound like a nerd, but I love geometry and im glad that they made a game based on just that. It may not be something I will play frequently, but it does look like a game I will play if I want some brief entertainment.

Taxi
I'm not into tank-like shooting games but this one seems like it will be the first one to rub me the right way. I also like that this is a tank-like shooter that gives a good reason to shoot the things you're shooting. You shooting UFOs to rescue people from an alien invasion.

Pirates
I like rhythm games, especially rhythm heaven. I had a problem that Rhythm Heaven Fever didn't use motion controls at all. It's a good thing to see that nintendo is being experimental by trying to use motion controls for a rhythm game. I also like that they scrapped the section where you have to shake the gamepad rapidly and added in a dance sequence instead.

Bird
I like Pyoro so seeing that it's coming back as a game & watch-ish game is just awsome.

Ashley
First off, I can tell why they didn't call this something like "Witch" because of religious views on stuff. Second, I like the way this game is brought out. It reminds me a bit of balloon trip breeze. It shows a concept I have never seen before in a video game. I also like how it's non-linear because it has alternate routes, making you want to replay a level to see what lies ahead of the other route you didn't take.

Bowling
I don't care what anyone says about this. I loved the bowling boss battle game in wario ware touched and I wished that they turned it into a real game. Apparently my wish came true again. They even made it easier since you can add spin to the ball by tilting the Gamepad.

Fruit
This seems like a very fun game to play with freinds (especially if im the thief). I like how it's basically a game of where's waldo with a twist.

Sketch
I like the game "Pictionary", but it's a little to messy when you're done playing and the gimmicks are annoying and they only make your drawings look like crap. This minigame on the other hand has no gimmicks. Just draw and make the others guess what it is.

Disco
This minigame seems like it will be very fun (if your freinds have rhythm). This minigame reminds me of Parappa the Rappa if it was mixed with Wii Music.

Islands
This minigame looks like something you should play if you don't want to play something too strenuous for the brain. This game reminds me of monkey target from super monkey ball if it was mixed with Arrow.

Miiversketch
This game seems like it will be very fun and it looks like it can have an extensive amount of words since you can type in words to add to the dictionary.

Prizes
Last but least, the prizes. The prizes can vary between comics (which are animated), cards that give you tips and tricks on the minigames, mission modes of the microgames in gamer, and neutral prizes that take use of the gamepad and both the TV and the gamepad. Theres also a quantity of them so it will take a long time to collect them all. Whatelse can they do? The prize system is flawless!

Okay, those are my opinions on game & wario. What about you? What are your opinions on Game & Wario? Do you have any opinions on my opinions?

IMO, the game isn't even worth buying.

I do respect your opinion but please give a constructive criticism of why you feel that it's not worth buying.

There isn't enough in it. It's just a party minigame type of game. I'd only buy it if they priced it under the regular price of the game, or if it was bundled in with the console.

and I already have to save money on Pikmin 3.

Thank you! That's what I wanted to hear from you. Now I and the rest of the members can understand now why you feel it's not worth buying.

I do understand why you feel it's not worth buying. It may be rated E10+ but it is not for everyone, especially not for those who are not into Wario Ware and minigame compilations. I'm not so interested in Pikmin 3 so I have decided to get this game first.
