Those four are fine, though I think Pokemon is popular enough to warrant a fifth rep. I'd personally bring back either Mewtwo or Lucario.

Sure. Not a big Pac-Man supporter but I wouldn't hate his inclusion.

Overall though not that bad of a roster, considering that you've never played the series. Though I'm just curious, why exactly did you remove Ike, Lucario, and R.O.B.?

I don't think Phoenix's skills in the courtroom would be useful in Brawl. Plus, Sonic would be jealous of his awesome hair. :P

Fire Emblem is big enough to have three reps. (There's lots of games even though there are only 5 in the US)

Marth would represent Japan
Ike would represent the series more known in the US.
and Chrom would represent the new game, which can be considered both known in the US and Japan.

  • Made some Changes
    • Unlockable characters are now in bold rather than a having star next to them
    • Rosalina replaces Bowser Jr. Due to recent character reveal
    • Wario is now default
    • Toon Link has replaced Ganondarf (sigh)
    • I don't feel sure on Zoroark and I added another character to it
    • Olimer replaces new character (this was a mistake from the start)
    • Black Shadow has been removed, Falcon is now unlockable
    • Ike is gone (sorry NSM FE isn't getting three reps
    • Ness is now unlockable
    • Balloon Fighter is gone (not happening)
    • All 3p characters are now unlockable

    Feel free to go ahead and critique on the roster and the changes I just made.

Ganondorf is Zelda's most important and iconic villain. Ghirahim is a one-shot character that will probably never appear in a Zelda game again, and from what I heard wasn't even the game's main villain. Why on earth would Ghirahim be in but not Ganondorf?

Also just drop Zoroark completely and replace him with either Mewtwo or Lucario. I'd suggest adding both really, I'm pretty confident that Pokemon will get five reps. Also, the Trainer will probably keep his Kanto Pokemon.

The only possibility of Ganondorf being replaced is if it's a different incarnation of him. Like say they replaced Ganondorf with the more Piglike Ganon from the Original games. Even then they could still have him while still having Ganondorf if they really wanted him. Which even has relevency because I believe:

That particular Ganon plays a major role in ALBW

  • Wario is now unlockable
  • Ganondorf has been added
  • Zero Suit Samus and Sheik have been added and seprated (although unlockable) due the recent announcement
  • Ridley is back!
  • Pokemon trainer is gone and Charizard has taken it's place
  • Greninja was added
  • Jigglypuff was removed
  • Chrom and Marth has swapped places in if their default or unlockable
  • Ness and Sonic are now default
