Dark Moon has been out about a week now, so for those of you who got to play it, which do you prefer?

Luigi's Mansion 2, which is what you call, "Dark Moon".

Reason: I didn't play the first Luigi's Mansion at all.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon beats the original Luigi's Mansion. It's not even close.

Why isn't there an option for "Never played Mansion"?

Anyways, definitely Dark Moon. It was such a big improvement from the first one, even if the first one does hold some nostalgia from when I first got it. Not to mention it can't be beaten as fast as the original, there's lots more collectibles, and multiple mansions.

Gee, can't Nabber has his opinion? :-X

I'm just joking with him, since he seems to criticize just about everything. Maybe that's just me. He's entitled to his own opinion, of course.

I am a critic. An amateur one, at that, but yes, I'm a critic. You don't have to agree with my opinion, but I just feel that Luigi's Mansion had a better atmosphere than its sequel did. It also had better controls and didn't have that stupid mission structure. Overall it really felt like Nintendo had to strip down the game to put it on the 3DS, and I think it would have been better if it had originally been designed for the Wii U.

It's not a bad game; I enjoy it, I really do. But I thought the original was better. Of course, this might all just be the nostalgic inside me.

I haven't played Dark Moon yet, so I can't say until I do so. I'm not a big fan of the original, though.

You might like the second better. It's more puzzle-oriented, though I don't know why you didn't like LM so I can't tell you if the second would be better for you.

I don't understand how LMDM has bad controls. The controls are well-suited for the 3DS and aren't awkward or anything. I don't have anything against the missions, I think it organizes everything quite well.

That, I'll give you. It would have been even more fun to play it on a bigger screen, for sure. Multiplayer would most likely be more fun, too.

I see where you're getting that - after owning Luigi's Mansion since 3rd grade and beating it 11 times, it definitely has some nostalgic quality to me, so I can relate.

The only reason I like Dark Moon on the 3DS is that it's portable, but that's just the general advantage that portables have.

So did Napper admit the sequel is better when not wearing nostalgia glasses?

Are you saying that my reasons are invalid, I have an incapability to like something that's different, and that I regularly get drunk/am not sane?
