It's that time again. nearly a month ago, Harry Potter's Severus Snape defeated Batman in the championship of Forum's Choice V, and became the fifth Forum's Choice champion. I'm back for the third time to host Forum's Choice VI, and in a few months, the next champion will be crowned and will join the likes of Severus Snape, Monobear, Iroh, Proto Man, and Rainbow Dash as Forum's Choice champion.
First off, series nominations. By now, I'm sure most of you know the rules for this. But there is a big change here, so I suggest looking at that bottom rule. Here are the rest of the rules for any newcomers:
-To nominate the series you want to see in the game, simply place the name of the series you wish to nominate in bold.
-It's first come, first served.
-Each person may nominate only one series.
-The top twelve cannot be replaced.
-A series that was eliminated in one of the last Forum's Choice games cannot be nominated again. For Forum's Choices I and II, please look below.
-Any series that seems to be nominated as a joke will not be accepted. I will be much stricter on this rule this time.
-You may reserve a spot if you are unsure what to nominate, but you must make the nomination by tomorrow night at 10:00 PM Central.
-Previously, series that did not make the top twelve were removed from Forum's Choice without any hope of returning. But starting this game, a series may have a second chance to play three games after their elimination. This means that this time, series eliminated from Forum's Choice I and II are eligible to return.
--For now, only two series are eligible to return, one from Forum's Choice I and one from Forum's Choice II.
--If more than one previously eliminated series is nominated from either game, a vote-off will be held to decide which series will receive the spot. Unless a returning series gets a lot of support, which would make a vote-off pointless.
--A re-nominated series will be treated like a series in 12th place. They can return three characters from the previous FC games. And of course like any other series, a character that made it to round 3 or higher can't return.
--A series that lost all of its characters in Round 1 in the only game it was in (Sultans of the Ottoman Empire, Red Vs Blue) cannot return.
--If a re-nominated series is eliminated again, it will be a permanent elimination.
After 12 series have been nominated, the character nomination phase will start. The rules for this phase:
-A list will be placed in the OP with all of the characters nominated and how many votes that character has.
-To give a vote to a character, type their name in green.
-To remove your vote, type their name again in red.
-Characters that made it to at least Round 3 in any FC game cannot come back.
-Characters that did not will be allowed back, but there's a limit to these:
--Top 3 of FCIV: No characters will be allowed back. All five will have to be new.
--4-6: One character may come back if the voters wish.
--7-9: Up to two characters may come back.
--10-12: Up to three characters may come back.
-If two or more characters are tied for the fifth spot in a series at the end of the character nomination process, an emergency matchup will be held to decide who gets in.
-During this phase, you may suggest series replacements. For it to go through, you need at least ten people to support your replacement. The person who
suggests the replacement counts as one supporter.
--However, if someone opposes, the suggestion needs one more support vote before it can go through.
---The player who nominated the series that is up for replacement cannot oppose. They can, however, withdraw their nomination, meaning the new series will be in automatically regardless of how many votes it has.
-This part will last several days.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand after all of the characters have been chosen, the game begins. The rules for the voting process:
-If you insult a character or voter, your vote will be revoked.
--If you do this three times, you are banned from voting for the rest of the game.
--If you do it jokingly or if the comment is not too harsh, your vote may not be revoked, but if it isn't you will get a warning, and the second time will result in your vote being revoked no matter what.
-You may change your vote whenever you want - however, you can only do this three times per round.
-And pretty much every normal V2W rule applies.
And finally, during round one, you may vote for the BYE winners. To do this, PM me a list including this:
The character you place in the spot marked "1." will receive 50 points. The character in spot "2" will get 40 points. Spot 3 gets 30, and so on. You can send this in at any point in Round 1, however, if you do not send it in by the halfway mark, your votes will be only worth half. The two characters with the most points and are still in the game at the end of Round 2 will be able to skip Round 3 entirely.
