Family Party (Game Series) Analysis

chillv

9-Volt must be my video game counterpart.
This is a very obscure franchise that is developed by a company called Art Co., Ltd. Only two of the games have been released in Japan so far as titles in the SIMPLE series line up of games. Those two being Family Party 30 Great Games (Simple 2000 series Wii Vol. 2 The Party Game) and Family Party 30 Great Games Obstacle Arcade (Simple series for Wii U vol. 1 The Family Party). It is a game franchise that is usually criticised for it's control. However, I have never experienced anything wrong with the controls besides that they may require light practice and getting used to. The very interesting part about this is that the japanese version of Family Party 30 Great Games Obstacle Arcade has a website (http://www.d3p.co.jp/the_familyparty/). It basically goes over everything about the game from what I can see. I also notice why the minigames have such simple titles such as "The Jump" and "The Marathon". This is so the game can be translated in other languages at a short budget for a short amount of time.

I also see a few slight differences between the western and japanese versions of the first game "Family Party 30 Great Games". However, these could just be beta images and not the final game.

Japanese Version/Beta Version

It seems that the minigame called "The Survival Rope" it originally had a sign that says "Let's Jumprope" but was eventually removed.

Beta

It seems that in the Minigame "The Handbell", the handbells were meant to be closer than they were and it was meant to be played sort of like guitar hero or wii music. In my opinion this was a bad way to go with this minigame since it made it hard to play.

Final Version

You can see that in the minigame "The Obstacle Course" they changed the angle of the minigame plus, they added a motion blur effect to give a sense of speed

Okay, that's basically all I could find about this game so far that I can list. I will list more later.
