Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Does anybody besides Palkia and I have this game? Now that I'm almost completed with Awakening I'm going to pick up where I left off (Chapter 17 4)

And for those of you who like fire emblem and haven't played it, I'd encourage you to do so. Great game and a great story. You can find copies of them on ebay and if you're lucky, sometimes your local gamestop or video game store.

Plus the support system is awesome. (not as good as Awakening's I would say, but FAR better than Sacred Stone's)

And forging weapons is just amazing in this game.
 
i don't have this, and i don't think there are any game shops that i can go to that carry gamecube games, so i probably can't get this even if i wanted to

You really should look into it. It's a great game.
 
turb tells me i should get por, so i might pick it up eventually
 
I have Path of Radiance, but I haven't played much of it. I'd like to try again again at some point, though the memory card containing the little data I had of it vanished, so I'd have to restart it. I only got to like chapter five though, so not a huge problem.
 
i havent actually finished this yet (im on ch23)

but personally i think its probably one of the better fire emblems? it feels pretty different since i went from awakening to this but thats a good thing imo

do you have a favorite character

yeaaaah, i think i've only found one game shop in Australia that carries gamecube games, and that was a couple of years ago, and i think it shut down anyway

I don't have a set favorite, but I have a bunch that I love. Mia and Soren are probably a few of my favorites. Mia is just a beast swordmaster and Soren is unstoppable when he's promoted. I've also worked a lot with Boyd and Rolf and they are quite good once you train them enough.

I'm going to pick the game back up again this week, and hopefully I'll finish it later next month.
 
Second favorite Fire Emblem, played and beaten twice and have a third in-the-works... so much better than its predecessor.

As for a favorite character, I have to go with the Black Knight, since he's always been my favorite video game character. If it had to be a playable character though, I'd probably go with Volke, Kieran, or Haar. Shame Volke and Haar aren't that great in this game, unlike Radiant Dawn.
 
my favorites are shinon, gatrie, and makalov (even though i can't use makalov as a unit at all, i still like his character)

i prefer zihark to mia and ilyana to soren; i put a vantage scroll on zihark and he's a really good unit. ilyana vs. soren is probably up to preference, but i like her since she doesn't suffer penalties for carrying around heavier tomes due to her better strength growths

Ilyana is a fine character as well, but I've only used her on some of the chapters like the desert one's where she benefits the team.

Zihark is pretty good too, but every time I want to put him on I already filled up the amount of members I can have on my team. (I am using him for the current chapter, though). I think he's like Level 14 now.

And Makalov..... ug. I can't stand him. He can't do anything! But, yeah his character is kinda funny.

I never got Kieran though, sadly, but Oscar ended up being a pretty good Paladin. Almost as good as Titania, I'd say.

Oh, and Rolf is amazing. He becomes a great sniper after your work on him a bit.
