Oklahoma Tornadoes

Getting a report from my news station that there was a major storm over large parts of Oklahoma, and that one of the tornadoes was at least an EF-4 (capable of completely demolishing a small town). That same tornado killed at the very least 37 people and totally destroyed an elementary school too, and now first-responders are looking for 24 kids.

..."My condolences" can't even start to explain the guilt I feel right now. I hope there aren't any more deaths.
EDIT: 37 people now confirmed dead...

Why didn't I know about this?

Guilt? Wouldn't that imply you could have prevented this...?

But yeah, this is awful... and so many kids, too...

Precisely my question.

Well, I couldn't really think of a better word, so...

I hate the freaking media at times

Again, I offer condolences to this tragedy. Makes me glad I don't live in an area where tornadoes are rampant (though I have earthquakes to worry about)

After an initial report of 51 (I think) dead from the EF-4 tornado, the death toll has been lowered to 24.

Thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected. It's absolutely heartbreaking looking at the images of the aftermath.

EDIT (UPDATE): The EF-4 tornado was just upgraded to an EF-5 tornado apparently.

I've seen it on TV, really sad what happened.
Especially because of the first ever Amber Alert Europe, and at the same day the boys were found dead, this happened in America.
What the fuck is happening to this Planet?

Well, the amber alert could've been prevented, but the tornadoes could not have been prevented at all, so that's sort of a bad analogy.

You can't prevent anything in life, unless you have control over it.

Multiple tornadoes are rampaging through the Oklahoma City area. Reports are saying that the tornadoes will go through downtown OKC before long. As far as I know, tornado sirens are also going off in Moore, OK, which is the city that the EF-4 tornado devastated just a few days ago.

At least 31,000 people are currently without power.

This is just absolutely devastating and heartbreaking... my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone going through this right now.
