I think being that SSB4 is this time getting alot of hints to getting some big stuff revealed, I thought a separate thread just for the SSB stuff could be very useful as we get ever so closer to SSB4. Considering not only will it be part of the beginning show but there will quite possibly be a separate Nintendo Direct.
Which speaking of which, there seems to be actually a rumor here (Source being 4Chan or not, I find it at least somewhat realistic). Make sure to put your response to the image here in a Spoiler box because if it is real then it spoils it for those who are waiting for the Trailer to surprise them.
So according to this. This is what we'll know:
The official title is Super Smash Bros. Calamity (I think it's kinda a weird name and certainly the longest surname after 64, Melee, and Brawl but I can roll for it.). Though I suppose if people dislike this game they'll have an easy way to make fun of it given the definition of Calamity...

That's over 20 already confirmed characters if this is true (But considering the roster expectations this is likely only about half the roster). But anyway, I find it at least somewhat believable because of what they're saying about the trailer being an homage to Melee's Opening, I think the Newcomers are quite believable as well (Including Pac-Man since Namco is working on the game after all), and I actually never realized that Mewtwo having relevence in X/Y could pave his way to returning again to Smash Brothers.

GAMEPLAY CHANGES/RETURNING MECHANICS/GENERAL INFO
Tripping's been removed
Game speed faster then Brawl but slower then Melee's
3DS will have some kind of character customization setting that will be transferable to the Wii U version
Footstool Jumping and Final Smashes will Return
Multiple, non-directional air dodging like Brawl
Multiple Taunts return as well.
Cutscenes won't be as heavily focused on. Likely meaning no Story mode like the Subspace Emissary.
The 3DS Version is geared more for the single-player. While the Wii U version is aimed for the Multiplayer.
Both versions will have the same amount of characters.
Sakurai has expressed interest in DLC and Patches for this game.
