Also, I very well understand that Mario is Nintendo's biggest franchise, but I don't see why it has 7 reps while Pokémon and The Legend of Zelda both only have 5.

Pokémon had 7 reps while Mario only had 4 reps back in Brawl.

7? Even if you count Pokemon Trainer as 3 separate characters, there's 6.

My personal desire is for the 7 to be: Sceptile, Jigglypuff, and Zoroark though I do note that Mewtwo will probably be in instead of Zoroark.
