Looks like we're gonna FINALLY have a celebrity voice in Smash

Charles Martinet and Roger Craig Smith don't count?

DUDE I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DON'T FUCKING KNOW CHARLES MARTINET.

please refrain yourself from having supermariofan in your name.

And Roger Craig Smith is not only the voice of Mario's old rival Sonic, but he's also done work on Assassin's Creed, Resident Evil, and Regular Show.

Okay I just looked up those two and...they're voice actors...as in someone who doesn't appear on screen or appear in any big hit movies...that's NOT a celebrity, but unlike Kiefer Sutherland who appeared in many famous movies like A Few Good Men, Young Guns, Stand By Me, and famous TV shows like 24 and Touch IS a celebrity

You're terrible in my books now.

now if you pardon me 24 was great and all that but I think the definition of a celebrity is...

ce·leb·ri·ty (s-lbr-t)
n. pl. ce·leb·ri·ties
1. A famous person.
2. Renown; fame.

So you're telling me charles martinet is not famous? HE'S THE VOICE OF MARIO! THE MOST KNOWN VIDEOGAME CHARACTER.

Then there's Roger and like toad mentioned he does the voice of sonic. A character who has a huge fanbase (even thought the fanbase is picky for the slightest things like the eye color even thought they share their hatred of sonic 2006 with everyone.)

Hmmm...I don't see anything voice acting related in that definition...JUST voice acting, that's all those guys do

But the fact that you don't know who Charles Martinet is disturbs me.
Well that's probably because the voice actors aren't AS recognizable as actual actors that do things besides just lending their voices

Again, Smith has done work on some of the biggest recent video game titles, as well as TV shows like Regular Show and movies like Wreck-It Ralph and Planes. And Martinet is the voice of not one but seven Mario characters.

Even if they've never appeared on-screen themselves, I think they're still well-known enough to warrant celebrity status.

I can't believe you're still convincing me that they're "celebrities" by showing more voice over work that they do

Ok.

1. Who cares about celebrity voices.

2. I like the voices from Melee and Brawl

3. I really doubt Snake is returning, to be quite honest.

He had a remake of Snake Eater on 3DS so that's one reason why he's safe, another reason is that Kojima begged Sakurai so much for Snake to be in, so I'm sure he'd be more than pleased to see him in Smash 4

Yeah, he's been in famous movies and tv shows, so he's a celebrity, have you ever seen A Few Good Men, or Stand By Me?

Yeah but that's really not enough.

You have to be realistic. Nintendo is only going to put in a few third-party characters. I mean, at the most three, maybe only two.

And you know Sonic is going to be there since they're all tight with Sega. That leaves on spot, which is probably going to be a Namco character like Pac Man. If they add three, even so a Platinum Games or heck, even a Ubisoft character might be more likely.

Yeah, he's been in famous movies and tv shows, so he's a celebrity,

exactly.

so we agree both sutherland and smith are celebrities, because they both acted in famous movies and tv shows.
