Underrated (?) characters

Hi. I self saw a topic where they claimed that Waluigi is underrated. In my opinion he is NOT and there are way more characters that need love and regonisation in the Mario game, both by Nintendo and by the fans.
Like:
retro characters (Pauline, Stanley the bugman etc.)
characters from RPGs
characters from Wario´s woods
Wario spinoff characters
Donkey kong spinoff characters
So what do you think . Do you think those characters need regonisation and appear in the games like Mario kart? Or do you think it would be better if they weren´t in the spinoffs.

I used to disagree, but now I couldn't agree more. There should be a game where he is playable.

Also, I think that the Paper Mario 1&2 partners, though often liked by the fans, don't get that much love from Nintendo. In that sense I guess you could kind of call them underrated, or at least underappreciated.
 
While DK characters are a bit more common, certain ones like King K. Rool still has yet to appear. Same with Wario and RPG characters, along with characters such as Wart and Tatanga, so I'm all for these guys getting more love.

...Come to think of it, I am not sure how Daisy and Wario were able to make it out of the Super Mario Land games, but other characters like Tatanga did not...

And then there's the RPG characters which need representation in spinoffs... If not Fawful, then a character from Dream Team, seeing as how it's the newest one and such. Pauline should have already been in a Kart or other spinoff because of her appearance in the MvsDK series, also Prof. E. Gadd, although he isn't as underrated as the others.

You should say that Nintendo better give her a redesign again, if her current one is really bad.

A distinctive look can never be a bad thing, which makes new fans remember the character. While Rosalina looks beutiful, for example. her appearance is somehow close to Peach's.

The babies are overrated imo. Especially the fact that they'll probably continue to create new ones just to avoid adding more unique characters.

When we usually say "overrated" we mean by the fans. And even FROM Nintendo's point of view, Baby Luigi is STILL underrated.

When was the last game he appeared in? 5 years ago? Freaking MARIO SUPER SLUGGERS? Why is that? Oh wait, he could have appeared in Mario Tennis Open but NO he was scrapped for Baby Peach these days. Oh, this is the Year of Luigi you say? Oh wait, Baby Luigi is not included? BULLCRAP.

And since he's a baby character, he gets just as much hate as the other babies. Poor guy.

I'd rather play as my beloved clone than any other unique character in existence, thank you very much.

Anyway having an actual Shadow Mario would be interesting x3. I think he would look like an actual silhouette kinda like the bonus boss in SPM (Shadoo i think its name was...not sure)

King K Rool appeared in Super Mario Sluggers but he needs to appear in a kart game. And yes we need Wart. And Tatanga.
And why in the scrap hasn´t Pauline appeared in the Mario kart games yet. And if we need more toads then Toadsworth or Toadbert in the name of boogity.

I don´t think I need to mentoin which RPG character I´d LOVE to see in MK but since I don´t want people to b**ch about my obsession with him I better not speak

Think of Fawful. No, wait... Think of Wart! Hasn't appeared since SMB2, excluding remakes! Major characters like Baby Luigi have a high chance of appearing again. Look at Toadette. There's characters in way worse predicaments than the babies.

Actually Tatanga is better example than Wart. Not only that the game Wart is from wasn´t a Mario game to begin with but Wart made a cameo in a Zelda game (I know a Zelda game but still) while Tatanga hasn´t appeared since Super Mario Land
 
Yes but the problem is many many people want him back! Baby Luigi on the other hand, is being labeled as a "stupid clone" of Luigi and Baby Mario.

When you said that "problem is that many people want him back" did you mean Wart or Tatanga. Wart for sure, but Tatanga is not that known in the community.
And while he isn´t my favorite character I think that baby Luigi is NOT a clone of baby Mario.

Him too! I just thought of Wart from the top of my head. Regardless, they are all tons unlikelier than characters like the babies.

Not everyone thinks that. I have nothing against BL except the fact that other characters have been waiting to get in for years. Baby Luigi should by all means return, but I'd like to see some of these other characters, too.

Oh well yeah xD. wart is a good example but Tatanga is too (forgot to mentoin.....I don´t think that SML has remake......I might be wrong though) I´d love to see either of them
