The day the US claimed Independence from the British.

To be honest, I would love to see how the US would fare had this never happened.(i get the picture it would be a better place in terms of economy)
 
well apart from that one guy who decided to light up fireworks last night, we aren't celebrating

we really miss you guys, why not come home to your beloved british monarchy, eh?

How so? They died for our freedom in the Revolutionary war and one of those freedoms is not to be spied on by your government.

Better place...? Doesn't the US still have the top spot in GDP?

Anyways, US would have likely ended up like Canada if not for the Revolution - we would still become independent eventually, but it would have taken forever and we would not be a dominating force in global politics.
