The Call of Duty Wikia's trivia section are amazing. I am here to spread their widsom.

Makarov is the second character in the series to die from hanging. The first was an unknown man in the Der Riese radio messages.

Makarov used 3 different pistols to kill 3 different playable characters. The M9 to kill PFC Joseph Allen, the Five Seven to kill Agent Andrei Harkov, and a Desert Eagle to kill Yuri while he was an NPC.

This is the only Call of Duty game that doesn't need Smoke Grenades but in Sloedam the player can see infinite smoke from pits.

In the end of Arnhem Fire, the player must go behind the tank to plant a charge on it. He must run away as fast as he can before the bomb explodes.

Some MG42's throughout the game aren't available for the player to use, but some are available.

The scene where Dr. Light, Roll, and Rush are in the trash compactor is reminiscent of a similar scene in the original Star Wars movie. This could be a reference to that scene.

In the future Mega Man has a comic book called "The Adventures of Mega Man". Coincidently, there is a Brazilian comic Novas Aventuras de Megaman (New Adventures of Mega Man), but this is most likely just a coincidence.

Squidward's middle initial Q stands for Quincy.

Funny, Quincy is also the middle name of Denzel Crocker who is one of the main antagonists from the show The Fairly Oddparents.
