can't connect my DSi XL to the internet

i've put in my security key and it simply can't find an ip address

the strange thing is, my internet connection works on the wii/wii u

but not for the dsi

what's going on here

Set your DSi on DHCP.
I don't have a DSi myself, tell me exactly how you config looks like on your DSi.

I suggest inserting an IP yourself.

Make sure there's no other device in your network with that IP though.

Do note, the IP has to look like this: 192.168.X.Y where X has to be the same as your other devices, and Y completely different from any device, but within 0-255.
X usually is 0, 1 or 2.

so uh, i actually managed to figure it out

turns out, i needed to add 10 to the end of my ip address

so instead of say, .07

it would be .17

and then it WORKED

Ah yeah, that must be an IP Conflict, as another device already owns .07, while .17 was free.
