Laptop can't find WiFi

I have an HP Laptop running Windows 7. Suddenly while I was in Google chrome, I lost internet connection. I tried to reconnect, but it can't find any networks. I unplugged the router multiple times, but the laptop still can't detect it. The desktop is working just fine.

Even though it's already solved, I'd like to add, that you could better go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Centre > Change Adapter Settings.
Then disable your WiFi from there, and enable it again.
That's how I solved it, on my no longer functioning Dell Laptop.

Unplugging the Router, knowing that WiFi on your Desktop works fine, was not the right practice.

Lakitu, how old is your Desktop then?
Every Desktop I have here has WiFi built in, so I was assuming the TS has their Desktop on WiFi as well.

Around 5 months.

There's no WiFi inside this thing.

I don't think it's that usual to have that.

As I said, I was assuming, based on my setup, I didn't say all Desktops must have WiFi, in recent days.
My oldest Desktop I'm working on (as we speak), is bought in January 2010.
