Every website I go to credits Newcom as the developer of Dr Mario 64. But who exactly is this developer? I can't find any other games they developed, or any history on this company. Does anybody know anything about Newcom?

I remember doing a research on them and being quite stumped, too. The manual has no developer credit section, the in-game credits only list them toward the end of the "Special Thanks" section (which, at the very least, suggest they weren't the primary developer) and the Japanese Wikipedia (normally an useful source for obscure JP developers) has nil about the stand-alone Dr. Mario 64 release.
For what it's worth, looking at MobyGames, the design staff moved on to Pokémon and other Nintendo games while most of the graphic guys are either only credited on Dr. Mario 64 or it and Guilty Gear XX #Reload , which was apparently published by a company named "MediaKite Distribution Inc.". However, the English web doesn't seem to have much about it, either.
