They are just so beautiful

Probably, they're also probably in entertainment and media. I decided to share mine anyway

Best music = genre?

Whatever the case, I specifically believe trance is the absolute best.

NOT TECHNO.

NOT HOUSE.

Trance.

I've said this a billion times before, but Crowned.

I can't say because I listen to classical, heavy metal, contemporary orchestra, MIDI, game, alternative, jazz, R&B, and others, and I'm open to listening to others.

Basically this but you're my twin :P

That's like saying what's better for your health, mangoes or plums?

Jazz is the greatest music ever.

Not that I don't enjoy other forms of music, but jazz just has this special feeling.

What kind of jazz?

Ah, we're getting into specifics.

Well, that's hard to say. It depends on your mood whether you'd like blues, soft jazz, or fast jazz.

Best music, you say? SSBM MUSIC FINAL DESTINATION! OH YEAH 8) 8) 8) 8) ;D

paper Mario music is pretty cool too :)

I love Latin Jazz and Big Band.

I am weird...

I don't know what the best music I've listened to in my life, because there is a lot of great music. I definitely am a person that loves Classical Music. It's all I listen to. I spend a lot of hours listening to stuff like Gustav's Holst "The Planets", and I've listen to all of the Beethoven Symphonies (I've actually played the complete 1st symphony with the CYE of the DSO and I've played the first movement of the 8th symphony with the same group), and Mozart's requiem, Bach's Moonlight Sonata, and you got to love all of the Debussy music like Prelude to the Afternoon of a faun and Syrinx (both of which I play as some of my solos). I also love listening to concert band music, and I often listen to the songs that we usually play that are really good. I definitely love listening to video game music. I usually have to listen to some Zelda music, which has some of the best video game music out there.

I find the music that I love the most are the ones that have those really cool chord progressions where it constantly goes from major to minor and vise versa, and it builds suspense, and it just sounds amazing. I also really like minor chords because I feel like they make music feel dark, and I don't really like the sound of bright music because I feel like it's just too lollygaggy and dark music is usually more intense and epic sounding.

I don't like music with words in it. I honestly don't like pop music. I feel like common music today is not that interesting. I just like music without vocalists, unless it's a full choir. Again, I'm weird. I also don't really like Jazz, there is something about it that I don't like. Maybe I feel that it is a bit of too much improv for me, and I like expected music a bit, or maybe a lot of jazzy music doesn't have that great orchestral sound and is really brassy. Though, I do love a brassy sound, so it must just be me. :P

Hans Zimmer is pretty fuckin fantastic, his music ranges from the Lion King to the Dark Knight Trilogy. If I were to ever make a movie, I would like him to score it.

Gustav Holst doesn't fall into the Classic category. He's more in the contemporary one. I still like The Planets; it's probably his most famous work. But, I do agree that I'm a fan of classical music and orchestrated pieces. I admit I do need to listen to more of that kind of music, but I don't know where to look, and I hardly know any music. I agree that the music my peers listen to, the pop music and stuff, are forgettable, but I can't generalize.

You're not weird. I share many of your music interests, except for the jazz one. I've heard a jazz cover by Gordon Goodwich's Big Phat Band on one of Mozart's pieces, and it's really smooth and cool.

John Williams is another good one. He's the guy behind iconic orchestrated music for movies, including Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

Rock music is one of them, but there's a big variety of music I love.

And I don't think this topic is even supposed to be here :???:

The best music will always be rock.

hell yeah

my favourite bands are the bands that can do more than one genre. Take Muse for example. Their first Album, Showbiz began Muse's career in Progressive Rock. Their second album, Origin of Symmetry, went into the Space Rock genre. Absolution brought them into Symphonic Rock, and Black Holes and Revelations brought the band into good old classic Punk rock. The Resistance brought them into Pop rock, and The 2nd Law went into Brostep, a kind of sub category of Dubstep.

There's also Ayreon, which often mixes a lot of different genres with Space Opera. It's a fantastic project created by Arjen Lucassen. I'd recommend looking him up, he's fantastic.

I prefer metal over rock but rock rocks too
