So TV Guide made a list of what it considered was the best cartoons of all time. It listed the top 10 in order, but listed the remaining 50 in alphabetical order... Check out the link to see which ones made it!

I was disappointed to see these absent from the list:

-DuckTales
-Darkwing Duck
-Gargoyles
-Speed Racer
-Pokemon
-Digimon
=Astro Boy
-Mickey Mouse/Donald Duck/Goofy/Silly Symphonies
-The Critic
-SatAM Sonic the Hedgehog
-Transformers Prime

...Oh well, at least it got a lot of good ones on there... INCLUDING My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and even Gravity Falls! :D

m not sure what to make of this list. For the most part I agree...

Drawn Together

okay seriously the show was kinda good but not that great.

seriously put pokemon or digimon in it.

Dora the Explorer

okay okay.

first of all I thought this wasn't a kiddie's greatest cartoons of all time.

I don't think Top 60 Cartoons of All Time is the right title... Especially looking at some of the odd choices in the Top 10 (Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, and Rocky and Bullwinkle? Maybe they were marvels in their time, but I'm not so sure they've aged THAT well)

I think the better name of the list would be: The most influential and/or the cartoons that had the most pop culture impact. Because looking at the Top 10 that makes sense as most of them for the exception of Family Guy, Spongebob, South Park, and Batman: The Animated Series. And then there's all the other shows made in the 60s/70s that are in the list beyond just the ones in the Top 10.

For most of these, it makes sense that they'd be considered some sort of influence. Whether they'd inspire future cartoonists or have an impact on modern cartoons that we're still feeling today. For most of these, whether you think they're quality cartoons or not. It does seem TV Guide picked alot of ones that just have some historic impact or are current Popular Culture icons. Granted, there's still a few snubs that are glaring. Especially with some of the rather odd choices on this list.

SonicMario I think they've aged fine.

But yeah some of the choices on this list are ridiculous when you think about the better cartoons they could've chosen.

Never understood Friendship is Magic popularity, never will.

But hey, Fairly Oddparents is on there, so yeah, it's cool. Needs more Magic School Bus though

Never underestimate the impact of low expectations.

it's just a list of tvguide opinions, don't see the big deal that they didn't include some good shows

it's fun to moan groan and complain about their "poor" choice

That, and it has good animation, good voice acting, and some other various good points. People find a lot of different things to like about a show like this.

Also, Northern Verve, I said this on another forum, but "influential" might also not be a very good name for this list. They might as well just said "TV Guide's Top 60 Cartoons", because it implies that these are the cartoons TV Guide prefers or finds enjoyable, instead of just assuming they're all as great as they say they are.

I do enjoy Bob's Burgers but it truly has no right to be on that list.

Same with Drawn Together.

Also Clone Wars is the worst thing ever like at least BB and DT are actually mildly entertaining.

Good to see Daria on it though. Love dat 5eva. <3

Maybe they're not referring to the crappy CG series, but the Genndy Tartakovsky traditionally animated micro-series, which is probably the best thing to come out of the prequels. And, given that Genndy's other creations, Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack, made it on the list, it really shouldn't be that surprising.

2 of those 3 aged fantastically
also i'm glad pokemon isn't on this list because it's a garbage show that just get's stupider as time goes on
