I know this isn't related to least favorite dying gripes, but I always thought it was BS that if an enemy runs away from battle in any Mario rpg take your pick you get no EXP. I mean, who was the intimidating one who made it flee? They can sleeplock you, if I recall right. Even if they can't, they can and likely will finish you before you can even wake up if one puts you to sleep.
