What's your favorite discount retail chain?

Even though I hardly ever go there, I would prefer Meijer, because they're a family-owned private company, based in my state, don't tend to build way too big and are a little friendlier. But, more often, I visit Kmart, even though that chain's been downsizing for nearly two decades now. And like plenty of us on here, I'm with the "anything other than Walmart" crowd.

Jewel Osco for food.

Target for everything else.

Walmart, since I rarely go to Target, haven't been to Kmart in years, and can't access the others.

If I had to choose it would be Target, or Shopko because it's pretty much the same thing.

It used to be Kmart, but they apparently don't exist in Pennsylvania. I guess if I had to choose now, it'd probably be Walmart, but we don't use discount stores often.

The only main ones around here in Chicago are Jewel Osco, Ultra Foods, Meijer, Target, Costco and Walmart.

I would have to say..
Jewel for foods and produce
Target for more food but not the same ones from jewel ad some other items
Meijer for quick lazy small trips since it is really close
Costco, we did have a membership but we hardly shop there, it was good for large boxes of food

they just opened a target (first in the city) next to my school, but i've never been there.

I've been to Costco several times, and I know how much Baby Luigi hates going there. Costco is basically a warehouse.

Costco IS a warehouse. They're supposed to deliver their stuff to food market but some idiot guy came up with the idea of directly selling them to consumers
