How can I make a DISPLAYNAME?

You mean on MarioWiki? Just put it on your userpage. The template is right. The "???" is just a parameter for what you want to put down

Just put {{DISPLAYNAME:This is the title}} to change the displayed title in "This is the title". I don't think it matters where on the page you put it, but at the top is encouraged.

If you want to use fancy colors too, use <font color=orange> and </font>, with the text to be colored in between. So of you use {{DISPLAYNAME:This is the <font color=orange>title</font>}}, you'll get "This is the title".
