It's a story about how the heroes and villains of all our favorite Disney movies had children... in high school. And it's being made by the same people who made High School Musical.

Yeah, the premise had me intrigued, up until the whole "high school" thing. :-\

Just for those of you who are curious, here's the basic synopsis:

"The film takes place in a present-day idyllic kingdom, where the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle from Disney’s iconic Beauty and the Beast) is poised to take the throne. His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to the trouble-making spawn of Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, the Evil Queen and Jafar who have been imprisoned on a forbidden island with all the other villains, sidekicks, evil step-mothers and step-sisters. These villainous descendants (Carlos, Mal, Evvie and Jay, respectively) are allowed into the kingdom to attend prep school alongside the offspring of iconic Disney heroes including Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Mulan. However, the evil teens face a dilemma. Should they follow in their nefarious parents’ footsteps and help all the villains regain power, or embrace their innate goodness and save the kingdom?"

You know what would be interesting? If characters from Disney's non-fairy tale movies were in this. How'd you like to see characters from Wreck-It Ralph in something like this? Or Lilo & Stitch? Or maybe some of the Fantasia movies? I was actually just thinking of a "shared world" where all of the Disney characters, or rather, the characters from the Disney Animated Canon, co-exist. I think it's a fun idea.

Well I read this thing once that every movie in Pixar was on a continious timeline in one world, so I guess something like Disney wouldn't be too farfetched.
Maleficent's child needs to be a dragon though.

Oh, god. That's the most cliched and unoriginal idea I have ever heard.

But then again, this is a Disney Channel movie, they're always crap.

so i saw this yesterday but didn't hear about the high school part

i am now totally uninterested in this movie

also, the names are so uninspired
