I dislike roaming legendaries not just for how annoying it is to catch them, but also for the fact that their natures and IVs are fixed, even before you actually encounter them.

Many fun times were had hunting down Mesprit, Latias, and Thundurus.

I'm being serious here. I honestly enjoyed hunting them down. Thundurus was the best roaming Pokemon ever, mostly because you didn't have to stop and check your Pokedex - the weather would change if he was on the route, signalling that he was nearby.

DPP was probably the easiest because you could see where they were on the bottom screen and didn't have to keep pausing the game to check. Also, an in-game trade gave you a Gengar with Mean Look. Otherwise, it was really annoying.
