Should I get SoulSilver?

So I'm planning to sell some emeralds, aquamarines, and amethysts. I'm planning to use my money to buy SoulSilver. But I need your opinion: It's pretty expensive, so should I still get it?

My extremely biased opinion: SoulSilver is the best Pokémon game in existence (or HeartGold, they're both similar enough). It's a remake of Kanto and Jhoto in visuals like both those regions have never seen. I'm very partial to the Jhoto region, so like I said, I'm a little biased.

My only thing I should warn about, SoulSilver is also one of the more difficult Pokémon games, probably the most difficult I have ever played, so if you are not that good at Pokémon in the first place, you should probably not play it yet until you are better.

I haven't played X/Y yet, but I did here that it is sort of easy. Yeah, I think SoulSilver will be much more difficult.

compared to black/white its really difficult, because black/white were intended to be easier and introduce new players or some such thing I heard somewhere

I would recommend heartgold over soulsilver just because of kyogre, but again I'm biased, really the main difference between ss and hg are groudon in ss and kyogre in hg

As someone who grew up with Silver, I say get SS if you can't get the original.

SoulSilver isn't exactly "new", but I assume Shoey just would prefer the older version to the new version because of nostalgia or the fact that you do go to Kanto, which he may hate kanto.

Because the original games are severely lacking things in later games. So many things wrong with Gen I.
