Do 3D models exist of any of the Tiny Toons?

They're perfectly mismatched

OK, the reason I'm asking this is because since yesterday, I've decided to beginning planning a comic set at the University of Michigan that would function similar to the Johnny Bravo episode "Bravo Dooby-Doo", but would feature about six Tiny Toon Adventures characters instead of Johnny Bravo, but it would function similar to the N-Gang comics too.

I do know 3D models of the Scooby-Doo gang exist, I just need to know if any 3D models have been made of any of the Tiny Toons. I've checked the Models Resource (since I just learned today that there were two PS1 games based on that show, so those are likely in 3D) and found nothing, plus, I'm too lazy to search through the numerous 3D model sites. But I know that I've recently asked LTQ to make 3D models of at least two characters from that show. Plus, make sure any models you do come across are free.

And if you don't find any, well, I guess I'll just make my own then...

Idk, but you could use a 3D model ripper for the PS1 game. There are 3D capture programs out there but I don't know if they work for PS1 emulators.

You need an emulator because 3D ripper captures whatever is rendered with the likes of OpenGL, Direct3D9, whatever. It's like printscreen, but with 3D models.

I use 3D Ripper DX to rip some models from games, and it requires an emulator loaded in it to capture models.

But do programs exist that can just simply rip every 3D model from the game?

No, because models in games don't use consistent file formats. If you look in an .iso, they may be in some unreadable format or inside a larger file.

It's just easier to just capture it on screen, though they may not be t-posed and their Z dimension can get distorted.

Well, do any alternatives exist? And will that method export them into a file format that can be imported into Sketchup?

Not that I know of, but I still think printscreening models via some program is the easiest option by far, as long everything works properly, of course. And if there are established programs for some models ie .pac/pcs format Brawl uses, .szs format for Mario Kart Wii, .arc for New Super Mario Bros. Wii, or .brres files, which are a Wii exclusive format.

3D Ripper DX dumps models in an .obj format and .3dr. I don't use Sketchup, but I definitely think Sketchup supports .obj, since it's a common format.

EDIT: Got ninja'd by shapeshifter dude

About 3D Ripper DX, while it does export textures, it does so in DDS format (Nvidia). Needs conversion if using in common editors.

Secondly, no, SU doesn't support OBJ, though there are plugins to enable that. Collada is supported, so you can also use Blender or something to convert them.

Thirdly, SZS and ARC are both U8-files by Nintendo, both able to contain BRRES and other (game-specific) files (like KCL's or KMP's in MKWii (some CT's contain a readme.txt)). Summarized as the ZIP-files of the Wii.

Well, I just found out that one of these games (TTA: Plucky's Big Adventure) is in 3D, but I don't know about the other one I mentioned (TTA: Toonenstein), since no screenshots of the latter were posted on a TTA fansite I went to. Plus, do programs exist where one can just rip models directly from the ROM?

UPDATE: I just discovered that Toonenstein's only 2D (from the screenshots I just saw of it), therefore, I'll rule that out.

Well, I do have 3D Ripper DX, but every time I try to get it to launch the game, there's an "unable to create process" error. How do I get around this? Until I can solve this, someone's gonna have to rip the characters from Plucky's Big Adventure for me (and convert them into .dae files) for me (and then email me with the models, with credit).

You might not be running DX as an admin, which is required for it to run.

I don't have that game as an ISO, nor I'm planning on getting it, neither can I find it on the Models Resource. I can't help on that part, I'm afraid. I still can look at making a model for one or two characters.

I can't 100% percent guaruntee this, but there's probably someone who made Tiny Toons characters models in MMD (MikuMikuDance). They're obviously not going to be as good quality as the games, and you'll have to get the MMD program, too, but I've used it myself many times, and it's a pretty good animating program, and you could also pose the models yourself (though that might take a bit of work).

Okay, I'll check into that today. Okay, I'm installing it right now. Does it export into either .dae or .3ds and can you provide me a link to download the MMD Tiny Toons?

I said it wasn't 100% guarunteed there were any, but I'll check. Either way, I'll have to PM you the link, and it probably won't be a direct link (but it will link to the download one).

Also, the file format and models are different. It's .pmd (Polygon Model Dimensions or something like that)

Well, I tried running it in admin mode and...same error. And, go ahead with making the models and start with one for Furrball (even though I started that one, I think yours may be more superior) and then when you're done with him, go ahead and model (in this order) Sweetie, Buster, Babs, Plucky and Hamton (each one at a time), then post the finished model. You'll find plenty of reference images for all six, just type the following in the Google Images search: "tiny toons (character name here)".
