What's Your Opinion On Regular Show/Adventure Time/Other Cartoon Network Shows?

What the title says.

When it comes to both Adventure Time and Regular Show, I don't really see how people like them. Okay, Adventure Time, maybe, but not Regular Show.

Regular Show is supposed to be a comedy. Yet it's not funny. At all. It's really stupid, and not the kind of stupid that people find funny.

Adventure Time is similar, in terms of my opinion, but it's okay. Never really caught my interest though.

I think it depends on the episodes you see of Adventure Time - i.e. you don't want an acid trip episode your first time out, or you'll only see the randomness for the sake of randomness (which is what happened to me; fortunately the next couple episodes were better and after a week or so I was hooked). Sometimes it does seem to throw things in for the hell of it, but the fun "omg I can't believe they got away with that" reaction is more common in my experience, and a lot of things are really clever; the attention to continuity and gradual character development's nice to see in a primarily episodic series as well, as are the touches of melancholy thoughtfulness and the periodic darker elements mixed in with the humour. Once you've been watching the series long enough, even some of the really bizarro moments become appreciateable: I recently re-watched the first episode I'd ever seen ("Crystals Have Power"), and while my first reaction had been "wtf is this crap", now that I actually knew the background and the characters, it wasn't bad.
 
^Meh, maybe that's the point? Because Adventure Time didn't really caught my interest.

I don't care about Regular Show

I like the Adventures of Gumball, though.

Oh, and nothing beats the classic cartoon cartoons
