I thought the second movie is ok but I don't think it needs a third movie honestly
 
I liked the first one and watched some of the second one.

Dont think there needs to be a third however, series seems kinda eh if anything.
 
I enjoyed the the first film. I haven't watched the second one because it looked like nothing but Minion filler for two hours.

because its like this

a new movie comes out, people obsess over, so the creators think its gonna be a great series.

I mean its pretty evident over several other movie franchises, such as thor, terminator, lotr, etc. etc.
 
Well, they're turning it into a cash grab, so I'm getting turned off.

At least cash grabs in video games last longer.

despicable me 2 was a good movie, but it wasn't quite as good as the second one

well probably because video games are interactive and have something else to do.

In a movie you just sit there and watch the same thing.
 
despicable me 2 added absolutely nothing substantial to the first one

i can't wait to see what bs they can come up with for the new one

that scene where gru is reminiscing about the good ol' days of el macho's villany is one of the best scenes in animation
 
I liked the second one
although, with the minions getting their own series, I think they should take a much less substantial role in the main series

why do people love the minions so much?
the first movie i thought was actually kinda nice without them.
then the second one threw aside the other things and focused on the minions too much.
 
I thought both were good, first was better though. Hopefully it won't make the third worse

Yeah, I agree. The minions are cute, but they don't deserve more spotlight than the main character.
