My iPad keeps crashing every time I go on IRC

Title. I pretty much decided to go on IRC again (because I only pop in there once in a blue moon), but as soon as I set my nickname, it crashed. I tried again many times, and it kept crashing. The longest I was able to be on there was, like, 10 seconds before it crashed again and booted me off. I don't know what to do.

P.S. I wasn't logged into the wiki, if that matters.
 
were you using the wiki irc client?

well what i meant was were you accessing chat from this page

anyway, i'd usually tell you to download a standalone irc client, but i don't know if you'd be able to install it in your situation
