Predictions about what the next 3D Mario game is going to be about

The next 3D Mario game might be a third sequel to SMG or a sequel to Super Mario Sunshine called Super Mario Sunshine 2. What are your predictions about this upcoming game folks?
 
I always been looking forward to a sequel to SM64 (DS version doesn't count). It could follow the events of SM64.

I made this up when I was 10, and it may not make much sense, but whatever.
They could make the paintings come to life, and then you have to recuse Daisy and Peach, who are trapped in a painting inside of the painting world.
 
Daisy steals Peach's crown and Mario has to team up with Waluigi to retrieve DK's banana hoard so Diddy will use his jetpack to fly to Rainbow Road and have a race with Pink Gold Peach for the prize of a key to Bowser's castle where they find a tunnel to Yoshi's house who they then ride to Daisy but on the way Wario starts farting on them so they have to call BLOF to exterminate him and then when they fight Daisy it's secretly Rosalina in disguise and then she grows huge and Mario and Waluigi have to fire Yoshi out of a cannon into her face and then she dies and the end.
 
Super Mario Galaxy 3 is the more likely game.

Bowser will kidnap a princess and mario will try to save her
 
Bowser will kidnap Baby Purple Sliver Waluigi and Pink Gold Warupeachi will have to save him.
 
Peach kidnaps Mario and Bowser tries to save him.

Then Mario kidnaps Bowser and Peach tries to save him.
 
I'd probably get a good laugh if Rosalina had to confront the Koopalings. But as a twist, Lemmy would fall in love with Rosalina, preferring to win her affection than to fight her, threatening his relationship with his siblings.
 
Yeah but a Galaxy 3 or Sunshine 2 should have a clever plot and better level designs to blow us away.

The next 3D game will just be a 2D game that uses sprites like the ones in MK64 to give the illusion of it being 3D.

i dont really want another galaxy and i think they should come up with some original shit
they had peach's castle, isle delfino, and i guess the universe but
i mean theres a bunch more ideas out there
why not something like toad town sewers
do u know how dope thatd be
travelling around pipes n shit to other worlds
instead of power stars theyd be like power wrenches or some shit
or idk bring back the power stars and use them to power up a wrench fuck i still gotta figure that out
but yea collect like 10 wrenches and u can fix the next pipe for the next part of the sewers which can lead to differnt courses or somethin like that

Bowser kidnaps the characters who have been playable in the mainstream games (eg. playable characters in NSMBW, SM3DW and SM64DS) and all we have left is a character who wasn't playable in a Super Mario game (playable in spin-offs, not RPGs).
