I know typically you shouldn't upload DeviantART stuff to the Mario Wiki, but this seems to be an accurate SVG format version of Dimentio's official artwork:

I found an SVG version of Bowser's Inside Story's logo on the wiki, and this doesn't look any less accurate than that, so should I go ahead and add these? (There is one for both depictions of him)

See, I am unaware of the origins of the Bowser's Inside Story SVG file, but some of the shading suggests that it was replicated, just like these Dimentio poses. But I'm not 100% certain so I guess I'll let you guys decide.

It doesn't look hard to replicate the character's artwork with Illustrator.

What's the wiki's policy on SVG files though? I know BIS's logo has one that appears to be replicated, so I just need to know if these will be accepted.

SVG is not fully supported by our MediaWiki software. Any relative path (like 'm', 'l', 'c', etc.) will lead to bad thumbnail rendering. If you're not sure if your SVG has relative paths, it's better to save the image as PNG.

I don't understand all this. There is both PNG and SVG files for BIS's logo, is there a way to find out if that file has a relative path? Because I don't know squat about svg files.

Basically the image that contain those paths will lead to bad thumbnail rendering. Their behaviors are found in .xml files.

The .svg files shouldn't even be in MarioWiki in the first place. Just as APNGs, we don't have complete support for the file type.

That wasn't the reason APNGs are disallowed though. It showed up fine in my browser in my computer but it may not for others. But yes, PNG is preferred over SVG

overenthutiastic YoshiKong editors who think they know what they're doing

The reason APNG's are not being used is because only a few browsers support them. The reason SVG's aren't often used is because MediaWiki may render them wrongly (it makes PNG's of them because not all browsers support them either, to be able to display them everywhere anyway). Both are bound to be fixed in the future.

On the subject of the two SVG's we are talking about in this topic; both are fan-made, so shouldn't be allowed here, regardless of quality IIRC.
