This was an idea I posted over on SmashBoards.

*smash logo*

We see Samus running through a hallway. Lights and sirens going haywire. Samus kocks down a door and runs into a research lab. There are several test tubes and pods. One of them has shattered leaving liquid and broken glass everywhere. Samus begins to scan the area. In the background we begin hearing this theme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8G5HIJkkxU0). Mewtwo leaps out from the shadows.

MEWTWO STRIKES BACK!

The two begin battling and there battle takes them to the Pyrosphere (don't ask how). Samus detects something with her visor and Mewtwo senses something with its psychic powers. They cease their fighting as something big lands between them.

RIDLEY MAKES HIS BIG DEBUT!

*cut to gameplay footage of Ridley and Mewtwo fighting each other and the other combatants on stages that are not Pyrospehere. We see that Mewtwo has been buffed and given some new moves and Ridley is shown to have a flying ablilty similar to Peach's float.*

The trailer ends with Mega Mewtwo Y glaring up at Ridley as the two prepare to fight each other.

We see Pikachu walking over to a Pokemon center. Suddenly, Lucario jumps in and starts trying to punch Pikachu away. Jigglypuff then flies in and puts Lucario to sleep and does a dance. Jigglypuff bounces around. Then Sceptile comes in shooting a leaf storm which knocks Pikachu and Jigglypuff away and lands right behind Lucario. Sceptile makes a storm. Then Greninja and Charizard come in and start making a 3 way fight out and the fight is intense. Lucario then wakes up and punches the 3 but barely does anything. Pikachu and Jigglypuff walk back in but before they can do anything... Mewtwo laughs and launches a big Psychic wave at the 6 damaging them all a lot. Mewtwo strikes back. Then Charizard flies in and Sceptile Dashes in and Greninja bursts in and Lucario swings in and stats attacking Mewtwo while Pikachu and Jigglypuff had already given up, Mewtwo knocks Lucario back away from him down with the other 2 but then the heroic efforts of Sceptile, Charizard, and Greninja is able to knock Mewtwo back and they all retreat to separate areas of the battlefield. Sceptile does a taunt as the scene closes.
 
Not in any way a serious submission, but I had a dream last night of a trailer where Pikachu and Lucario are fighting, then all of a sudden Mewtwo crashes the party and while they're fighting, they get interrupted by... Donphan, of all Pokemon. Kind of interested in how Donphan would work as a Smash Bros. playable character now.

On a more serious note, I kind of imagine a Mewtwo reveal trailer starting with Ness, Lucas, or both, since they're all psychics. Can't give anything more detailed than that, but I'd imagine something interesting could come of that.

*cut to Peach's Castle* The confirmed female challengers are drinking tea. Suddenly, Bowser shows up, crashing the party. The females are in distress. Then Ganondorf shows up. The villains laugh.
They stop as they heard a female voice. The villains turned around. Her silhouette then approaches to the villains. She charges and throws her fist, sending Bowser and Ganondorf to the sky.

Her silhouette then reveals to be Daisy.
"What, they're in my way."

DAISY IS NOT A CLONE OF PEACH!

*cut to gameplay footage of Daisy showing her movesets; Ganondorf, along with his allies fighting*

*sudden silence*

A flying silhouette interrupts the battle. Then dives into the stage. Lands in front of Daisy.
*pan up from its legs to its face* and then roars.

RIDLEY IS NOT BIG!

*cut to gameplay footage of Ridley showing his movesets*

Ridley roars. *cut to game's logo*

The trailer ends with Daisy giving a birthday cake to Ness and Lucas, teasing the return of Ness and Lucas.

*Cuts to Samus, Lucario, and Marth running through a secret base, attempting to escape when suddenly, Lucario sees a box.
He lifts it up to reveal nothing. So they continue their escape, suddenly, someone grabs Lucario and pulls him in the shadows.*

The Silhouette figure suddenly appears out of the shadows.

*SOLID SNAKE IS IN THE BATTLEFIELD*

*Samus and Marth begin to fight snake.*

*Cuts to gameplay footage of Solid Snake fighting and showing his movesets.*

*Cuts back to scene of Samus and Marth fighting Snake. Lucario comes out from the shadows trying to strike Snake from behind, when suddenly, Lucario is smashed into the wall. Then Samus, Marth and Snake are suddenly knock down by a fast moving figure. The silhouette figure suddenly appears.*

*RYU HAYABUSA SNEAKS INTO THE CUT*

*Cuts to gameplay footage of Ryu Hayabusa fighting and showing his movesets.*

*Cuts back to Samus, Lucario, Marth, Snake, and Ryu. Samus Lucario and Marth begin to walk away.

*Smash Logo*

Trailer ends with Snake and Ryu, staring at each other, then they nod to one another and walk away with the group.

Yes. Except I would replace Ridley with Mewtwo.

*Cut to Paper Mario showing off his various moves, such as a recovery that uses Parakarry, a special that uses Bobbery, and a grab that uses Thoreau*

*Paper Mario fights off Mario and Peach on the Peach's Castle stage from Smash 64*

*He grabs a Smash Ball, revealing his final smash to be a huge beam created by the Star Spirits that goes vertically across the screen*

Mario and Pikachu are fighting in an abandoned genetic facility, doing all the normal pre-character reveal jazz. Then Pickahu's ears go up, and he narrowly avoid a Shadow Ball, he looks around and there is nobody there. Pickahu, whilst slightly fazed, goes back to fighting Mario. Then another Shadow Ball comes and hits them, they look around and see something. The screen pans round. DUSKULL WAS NOT WHO YOU WERE EXPECTING. Then the usual trailer stuff of showing the character owning everyone else. Then Duskull grabs a Smash Ball. DUSCLOPS IS SOMEONE ELSE YOU DIDN'T EXPECT. Then the usual trailer stuff of showing the character owning everyone else. Then Dusclops grabs a Smash Ball. DUSKNOIR IS STARTING TO PISS YOU OFF. Then the usual trailer stuff of showing the character owning everyone else.

Pikachu and Greninja are fighting on the beach, when suddenly a silhouette appears in the water. It looks like it's Mewtwo, but suddenly...
MAGIKARP MAKES A SPLASH!
 
Bowser is giving Charizard a hard time while fighting near some boiling lava.
Bowser is about to crush Charizard but his tail got on fire, Bowser turns around and his face gets splashed by water, he roars in rage and he gets scratched by some leaves.
Bowser sees three small figures in front of him. The small orange is in the middle of the two allies and steps forward while trying to intimidate Bowser. Bowser laughs believing the pokemon is no threat. Until Charmander runs towards him in slow motion.

Charmander is on Fire!

Charmander shows his attacks

Squirtle Swims to Battle!

Squirtle shows his attacks

Bulbasaur Bulbasaur Is Ready to Bloom!

Bulbasaur shows his attacks


Bowser runs away and shakes his fist while riding his Clown Car.


Charizard gets up and pats Charmander's head in a fatherly figure way while the other two pokemon look at the surroundings.


A Purple dragon creature is seen far away perching on a cliff.


(That was so un-Bowser for Bowser to behave like this.)

Pit and Meta Knight are fighting each other with their swords. They take to the skies, still sword-fighting. They prepare to charge at each other. Suddenly, both are shot down and fall to the ground. They lay there for awhile, when all of a sudden,

*cursor appears*
*shotgun shells blow away opponents*

Cut to Hunting Dog holding up two ducks, followed by Smash Bros title.

After a few seconds, show the dog curled up and sleeping. A winged shadow moves across it. The dog, thinking it's a duck, opens its eyes. It's not a duck. The dog starts whimpering and running away as the winged creature chases it.

Cool trailer,I saw it in my mind and it felt real. And like my trailer it had a Ridley reference.

I give you ten points.
