Damn I think I've just been sold a PS4 (note: the playble demo at gamescom (and the PSN) is a ps4 version idk if it will be an exclusive). Silent Hill is one of the best horror games ever, Hideo Kojima is awesome, and Guillermo Del Toro is awesome.

Um I'm not too hopeful, to be honest. Given you need to be very subtle to make genuinely unnerving horror as the earlier Silent Hill games did, and given Hideo Kojima doesn't know what "subtle" even means, I just can't see him doing justice to the franchise, as talented a man as he is.

do we even know if Kojima has any extensive creative output on the game or if he's "just" a producer and his name is thrown around for PR like Castlevania LOS and Zone of the Enders

It does matter. Slapping names on a project doesn't excite me if I don't know what their responsibilities are.

i'm not into horror games so this doesn't interest me too much, but it's cool to see del toro working on it. pan's labyrinth was a good movie
