I mean come on. I can't beat curling. and why do I even have this game?

I only bought the first one for the novelty of it being the first (released) game Mario and Sonic were in the same game together. I've only rented most of the others. They're not really always worthy buys for full price even though I love both of the series alot.

I mean the DS game. to be honest curling is giving me a hell ton of a time.

The ds game has a story mode though.
Do you understand the general rules of curling or is it the controls?

The controls.

Dry bones keeps killing me.

Which is basically "Save the Olympics! Save the Olympics!" being spurred at you while Toad talks for everyone.
I'd be better off without a Story Mode.

I'd be better off without a Story Mode.

I loved 2010 winter's story mode
I thought it was really fun
I still go back and play it

The funny thing is, it wouldn't accept my brother's name, Peter, and we had to use Pete instead. For like 2 games in a row.

Good times.

I really don't like the Mario and Sonic series. They have those games separate for a reason. And in EVERY INSTALLMENT, EVERY CHOICE YOU MAKE IS COUNTERED BY AN ANNOYING VOICE SAYING WHAT YOU JUST CHOSE. It's just so annoying.

That's the announcer
It's quite similar to the actual Olympic games

Well then, get rid of the announcer and LET US SELECT IN PEACE!

What about blind people?

They won't know what sport they selected.

How can blind people even play video games?

Try playing and winning in a video game with your eyes shut.

Well of course I couldn't. I'm not blind.

When you lose your vision, after a while your sense of hearing and smell become heightened.

And that's how blind people play video games.

But the problem is, video games mostly require sight because smell, touch, and taste is unavailable.

This is seriously the argument you're going with here. All the arguments you could make about the games being bad...And you're criticizing there being voices on the menu.

I HATE Smash Bros! Every time you pick a character, THE ANNOUNCER SAYS WHAT YOU JUST PICKED!

Hearing, yeah, but it's not going to help you with button commands.

You can't navigate through a virtual world without your sight. Try playing an FPS without sight. You won't know if you're running into a wall or not.

They can smell the bad guys coming a mile away.

Alternatively, they use a seeing eye dog to bark when the enemies come.

On topic, I bought Mario & Sonic at Olympics, but I didn't care for it.

M'eh.

I think the best thing to do with Mario & Sonic games is to completely emphasize the Dream Events, which are the only events worth playing; make it a game composed of MOSTLY Dream Events while the standard events can be just a side thing. The Dream Events are the only ones worth playing, since they do what crossovers do best: put Mario running around in a Sonic environment while killing Dr. Eggman's machines.
