Help backing up and playing Wii games

OK, if this is violating the rules, please remove it. As per rule 10, discussion of ROMs and illegal wares is not permitted.

However, I'm talking about using Wii homebrew to make backups of games THAT I ALREADY OWN and playing them in case of damage to the original disc.

I know how to back up GameCube games using a ripping app called Clean Rip and playing them through WiiFlow with DiosMios installed.

Any help with doing the same to Wii games?
 
I haven't done this myself, but you can google it and find tutorials online such as this one

I saw that article, but it seems outdated (referencing the Twilight Hack as a manner of installing HBC)

also the idea of installing IOS36 makes me uncomfortable

i suppose i could give it a try though
